Industrial Roofing Leadman/Foreman

(Production Re-roofs and New Construction)


Compensation:

A qualified candidate will be offered a competitive hourly rate along with the benefits listed below:

All offers will be made on a 90-day trial basis. After 90 days of work, there will be a performance evaluation to determine whether or not you are a good fit for the position.

Hourly: TBD, Negotiable with hiring manager based on experience

Requirements:

What we look for in new team members:

  • 3-5 years commercial roofing experience

  • General knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

  • Positive/solution-based approach to challenges

  • Strong work ethics

  • Valid Driver’s License

  • Full-time position, must be willing to travel.

Job Responsibilities:

These are the responsibilities expected of our individuals hired in this role:

  • Assist the Roofers in creating the perfect roof.

  • Create a team atmosphere by treating everyone with mutual trust and respect

  • Become a role model

  • Delivery daily schedule attainment with goal level quality and safety

  • Create plans for the Team review for targets assigned by the Construction Manager

  • Monitor and correct deviations from the standard work and quality standards

  • Teach Roofers new jobs

  • Rotate jobs to develop Roofers for career enhancement and flexibility

  • Record metrics on visual control boards

  • Ensure safety, quality and goals are met every day for the jobs that Roofers are on

  • Discuss daily 3 achievable goals with the Project Manager/Construction Manager, for each job a Foreman supervises

  • Discuss daily with the crew the importance of working safely

  • Complete FCS daily

  • Make sure the roof is installed properly

  • Report to the Construction Manager

  • Ensure the job is ready to run prior to shift starting and give short safety talks during the ready readiness time

  • Ensure personnel are ready to perform their standard work

  • Make certain all materials are on the Roofing Team are ready to start shift

  • Monitor the accomplishment of standard work continuously

  • Respond to the Roofers whenever they signal

  • Teach practical problem solving to team members using live problems

  • Lead team problem-solving activities

  • Prioritize all problems

  • Report all problems to the Construction Manager

  • Put temporary countermeasures into place after understanding the problem

  • For those that cannot be alleviated by a temporary countermeasure then the process can be stopped

  • Make a list of all the problems experienced

  • Facilitates all team meetings

  • Audit quality system on a regular basis

  • Give communication talks at preassigned times to the team
