Preventive Roofing Maintenance

Creating a plan to preserve your roof’s healthy condition is critical. Building owners can save money by taking preventive action before there is a roofing problem.  Preventive maintenance always helps a roof last longer than it would with none.  We understand it can be difficult to select the best protection plan that meets your budget, while maintaining the other needs of your property. Our professionals at TeamCraft Roofing can guide you through the maintenance process from start to finish.

Many building owners are not aware of the types of roofs they require regular maintenance. Some clients choose to outsource their roof management by hiring a roof consultant to assess and manage their roofs. This is often a third party in the roofing process, but TeamCraft Roofing staffs our own Registered Roof Consultants. By combining our consulting and our roofing services, we can efficiently maintain your roofs to get the most of your investment.

A few tips to consider when evaluating your preventive maintenance schedule:

  1. Is your roof clean? A simple and effective way to help protect your roof is to make sure it stays free of debris and foreign objects.

  2. Is there standing water on your roof? Standing water can lead to serious roofing damage. If you cannot remove the standing water, call your roofing contractor to address options to create good drainage.

  3. Do you inspect your roof after storms? Your facility manager should make sure to visually inspect the roof after any major weather event. If you notice anything different on the roof, you should call your roofing contractor and confirm whether or not further action is required.

  4. Are there any trees near your roof? If so, any branches close to touching your roof should be kept pruned at least two feet from the perimeter of your facility.

TeamCraft helps building owners with preventive maintenance by creating plans for regular roof inspections. This often eliminates, or severely cuts down upon, expensive repair costs. A problem caught early can often be repaired at significantly less expense to the owner of the building. Routine roof inspections, paired with properly maintained roof surfaces, drains, gutters, and downspouts are crucial to a well-rounded preventive maintenance program.  Our expert roof consultants will give you customized recommendations for your facility — let us know if you’d like to set up a roof inspection before you have a roofing problem!

You can be confident that TeamCraft has the expertise, in virtually every roofing system, and has the skill and knowledge to suggest what is the right solution for your roof.
